Comprehensive
Eye Exams
Dr.
Lo, O.D., will spend time to know you and your needs, your general
health issues, and your hobbies and interests to better understand
you as an individual at Standard Optometry. A detailed history is
essential since many general health conditions and medications can
affect your vision and eyes. Please be aware that your first visit
in our office may take up to one hour, perhaps longer depending
on your visual needs and complexity of care.

Contact
Lenses
At
Standard Optometry, Dr. Lo can perform a contact lens fitting to
prescribe quality contact lenses and make sure you are comfortable
wearing them. She will educate you in contact lens care so your
eyes remain healthy throughout your lifetime.
Contact
lenses are medical devices and therefore Dr. Lo will perform a professional
fitting to ensure that your contact lens wearing experience will
be safe and comfortable. We fit all brand name lenses from Acuvue,
Bausch and Lomb, CooperVision, CibaVision and many others.
Medical
Eye Care
Many
patients are unaware that many general health conditions can affect
your eye health and vision; often times optometrists can be the
first doctor to come across signs such as diabetes and high blood
pressure, as well as eye diseases such as glaucoma.
Therefore
it is important to have an annual eye exam that includes a dilation
to make sure your eyes remain healthy. Some of the conditions Dr.
Lo may diagnose and/or treat and manage include:
-
-
Ocular
allergies and itchy eyes
-
-
-
-
Flashes
or floaters in your vision
-
Halos
and glare around light
-
-
Dr.
Lo will make sure to refer you to a specialist should your condition
require surgery or continued management.
